Demolition Permits


To obtain a Demolition Permit, the following information must be provided:
  • Property Address
  • Property Owner & Address
  • Building Occupancy
  • Size/Height of Structure
  • Construction Type (I.e. wood frame, masonry, etc)
  • Contractor’s Name & Address
  • Total cost of Demolition
  • Copy of the Demo Contract
  • Use of the lot after Demolition
Note: All Demolition permits are to be taken out by a demolition contractor unless what is being demolished is a private garage, shed or porch that the owner of the property is demolishing themselves.
Fees
If the cost of demolition is
$2,000 or less, the permit fee will be $29.

If the cost of construction is over
$2,000, the fee will be calculated
as:
$29 + $6 per $1,000 in excess of $2,000

Demolition of a structure does not imply authorization to reconstruct. If you plan to reconstruct, check with the zoning department PRIOR to demolition!
