This morning, Mayor Sinnott announced the opening of the new Norman Way Bridge. The bridge will be open to traffic after 1:00 p.m. The new bridge replaces a structure that was constructed in 1954. The previous structure had been posted to a weight limit of only 5 tons and required a reduction in usable width due to structural deficiencies. The bridge is located just east of the intersection of Norman Way and SR 0505 (Glenwood Park Avenue) and carries traffic over Mill Creek.
