Owners can easily update information as necessary and return the renewal application, along with payment and a self addressed stamped envelope to: City of Erie Dog License Renewal 626 State Street – Room 105 Erie, PA 16501. The database will be updated and tags mailed out immediately.

Canines 3 months and older are required to be licensed in the City of Erie. This is for the safety and security of the animal, in the event a resident’s pet or service animal becomes lost or stolen, to get them back home to their owners as quickly as possible. New and renewal licenses will also be available, for purchase at City Hall in the Treasurer’s Office and Humane Society of NW PA- 2407 Zimmerly Road ($.50 handling fee added). Applications are available for pick up at A.N.N.A Shelter - 1555 East 10th Street, Nickel Plate Mills – 1932 Parade Street, and Mud Puppies Self Service Dog Wash- 3867 Peach Street. You can also download the application online at the City of Erie’s website.

The license fee has remained the same, $8.00 for animals that are not spayed/neutered, and $6.00 for spayed/neutered animals. Discounts apply for owners over 65 years of age and those with disabilities. We anticipate City of Erie residents will find this procedure helpful in maintaining a safe community as well as for the safety of their animals.

Pink the Park 2015
October has long been recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Friday, October 2nd Mayor Joe Sinnott will host “Pink the Park” in Perry Square to serve as a reminder of the importance of education, early detection and advancement of treatments for breast cancer.

“We have held an event annually in Perry Square since 2008. It generates awareness about a disease that affects thousands of people in our community. Through our effort, we hope that local residents will be proactive with their health screening and seek treatment they may need,” said Mayor Sinnott.
