October 29, 2010, City of Erie residents and visitors are reminded that the City’s odd-even parking regulations once again go into effect November 1st, 2010 and continue through March 31st, 2010. Permitting parking on only one side of the street in designated areas, depending on if it is an odd or even numbered day. Please take the opportunity to make yourself aware of parking regulations, posted throughout Erie’s neighborhoods. Currently, odd-even parking is only in effect from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays; however, in the event that a SNOWEMERGENCY is declared, odd-even parking regulations will be enforced throughout a weekend when deemed necessary.
October 14, 2010, On Sunday, October 17th, the City’s annual fall leaf collection begins. Once again this year, residents may continue placing all compostable items (yard, garden and leaf waste) in open hard containers on their regularly scheduled refuse night throughout the fall season. For those with large quantities of leaves, green biodegradable bags may also be used. Clear bags or any other bags will not be accepted. Click here for the complete press release.
