Whispers of Light: A Story of Hope

A Special Evening for Grieving Children, Coming to the Warner Theatre March 29th

Whispers of Light: A Story of Hope is an original ballet reflecting a child's journey of grief.

A collaboration between the Highmark Caring Place and Maria Caruso's Bodiography Contemporary Ballet Repertory Company, this signature event works to raise awareness of grieving children and of the Caring Place in a new and unique way throughout the community.

The City of Erie will once again mail renewal applications to all households currently issued a 2013 dog license.

This morning, Mayor Sinnott announced the opening of the new Norman Way Bridge. The bridge will be open to traffic after 1:00 p.m.  The new bridge replaces a structure that was constructed in 1954. The previous structure had been posted to a weight limit of only 5 tons and required a reduction in usable width due to structural deficiencies. The bridge is located just east of the intersection of Norman Way and SR 0505 (Glenwood Park Avenue) and carries traffic over Mill Creek.

Gannon University Gives Gift to the City of Erie
Gannon University is giving back to the City of Erie today.  The University announced that they are giving a cash contribution of half a million dollars, which will be used for public safety initiatives.
