The City’s annual fall leaf collection will be EXTENDED thru Thursday, December 15th. Residents may continue placing all compostable items (yard, garden and leaf waste) in open hard containers on their regularly scheduled refuse night. For those with large quantities of leaves, green compostable bags may also be used. **Clear bags or any other bags will not be accepted.**

City of Erie residents and visitors are reminded that the City’s winter odd-even parking regulations go into effect on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 and will continue through Friday, March 31st, 2017
. During this time, parking will be permitted on only one side of the street in designated areas, depending on the date (whether it is an odd or even numbered day).
Please take an opportunity to make yourself aware of parking regulations, posted throughout Erie’s neighborhoods. Odd-even parking will be in effect from 8:00AM to 4:00PM on weekdays
; however, in the event a SNOW-EMERGENCY is declared, odd-even parking regulations will be enforced throughout a weekend when deemed necessary.

Join us in Perry Square Thursday, September 29th at 6PM for a short program, followed by the 7PM lighting of the Perry Square Fountain, recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
State Street will be closed to thru traffic between Noth and South Park Row beginning at approximately 5:00PM, and will reopen at 7:30PM.

The City of Erie Department of Community and Economic Development will be transitioning to new leadership on September 6, 2016. This comes after Kim Green, who led that department from January 2006 to November 2011 and then again from September 2014 to the present, announced her resignation. Mrs. Green not only served as the Director of Community and Economic Development for the City for 7 years but also served as the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority for three years.
