The City of Erie’s Department of Public Works would like to remind residents whose regular refuse pick-up night is Wednesday or Thursday that their refuse pick-up will be delayed one (1) night during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s.  Refuse collection in the Wednesday night area will move to Thursday night, while Thursday night refuse pick-up will take place on Friday night. Residents whose regular collection is Sunday night through Tuesday night will not see a change.

Also, the City’s annual Christmas tree collection will begin Sunday, December 28th and run until Thursday, January 22nd. Residents are to place their live Christmas tree, free from decorations curbside the same evening as their regularly scheduled collection night.

Should there be any questions, residents may call the Bureau of Refuse & Recycling at 870-1450.
